‘Hannibal’ season 3, episode 12 podcast: A deep dive into ‘Red Dragon,’ NBC with Jason Prager

Hannibal -HannibalCan you believe the end is almost here for “Hannibal” as we know it? It’s strange to be writing that right now, given that before this season we at least expected stable ratings on a Thursday-night timeslot. We didn’t anticipate the show being shelved to Saturdays, not promoted whatsoever (even with promos after the episode), or preempted so regularly by NFL football.

As has been the case lately, you cannot be too shocked that the majority of our latest “Hannibal” CarterMatt Podcast focuses on some of NBC’s latest misgivings when it comes to the show. Jason Prager as always has a ton of big opinions, and this serves as the perfect venue once again to get some of those out in the open.

Eventually, we do get around to discussing some of the events of the show’s penultimate episode, which we personally consider to be one of the best that we’ve seen over the Red Dragon story so far. We talk Chilton, whether or not the scene between him and Francis Dolarhyde was too graphic, and also some of Hannibal’s latest antics behind bars.

The one piece of advice that we can give you at this very moment is to watch to the very end of the podcast. This is something that you are really going to want to do, if for no other reason that Jason continues our recent tradition of doing prop comedy on the podcast. We try to describe it in the audio version, but it does lose some of that punch.
