‘Fringe’ heads to Science Channel in off-network syndication deal

Now coming to the Science Channel.

For those of you who thought that “Fringe” would never be able to find a home in syndication, prepare to be proven wrong.

Multiple sources have confirmed that the Discovery-owned Science Channel — which already runs reruns of another sci-fi classic in “Firefly” — has acquired the off-network rights to the Fox series starring Joshua Jackson and John Noble. The show does not have a premiere date on Science as of yet.

The good news here is that this deal gives fans of the series an opportunity to catch the show in full without looking online or purchasing a DVD set — and when you have a series with as deep a mythology as “Fringe,” you really need as many outlets as possible when it comes to allow some prospective fans to see the work as a whole.

Do you think Science will serve as a perfect companion to “Fringe”?
