‘The Big Bang Theory’s’ Jim Parsons is gay, reveals new article

The admission was made in passing.

Mrs. Carter: Out into the Big Bang open.

Jim Parsons has stayed classy while revealing his sexuality — in passing during a lengthy interview in the New York Times.

The interview was largely spent discussing the “Big Bang Theory” actor’s time on stage (as a way of promoting his role in “Harvey”), and author Patrick Healy chose to discuss the matter of sexuality while talking about his role in “The Normal Heart,” which he played on stage last year:

“‘The Normal Heart’ resonated with him on a few levels: Mr. Parsons is gay and in a 10-year relationship, and working with an ensemble again onstage was like nourishment, he said.

While many of his co-stars on the CBS sitcom have chosen to be rather open in talking about their private lives (minus the secret 2 year relationship with Kaley Cuoco and Johnny Galecki), Parsons had to this point remained quiet on the subject of his relationship. In many ways, this subtle decision to come out mirrors recent actions from Matt Bomer and Zachary Quinto — two other actors who chose to discuss their sexuality in a way that felt natural to them without any big fireworks.

Are you happy for Jim now that this is out in the open?
