There are so many things that are different about “The Bachelorette” this season, but perhaps the most significant one is that Emily Maynard is really not allowing the competition to impact her day-to-day life in any sort of major way.
Just what exactly do we mean by this? Speaking in a new interview on “Live! with Kelly” this week, Emily explained that she would literally go back to her house every night after filming, visit her daughter Ricki for a few minutes, and then get back into work the next day on just a couple of hours of sleep. The hardest part of the whole experience was that Ricki wanted to hear everything that was going on when it comes to the show, but she couldn’t talk much to her about it since she only had so much time to sleep.
As for the rest of this interview, it’s pretty standard fare if you have heard Emily talk about the show already. She explains that she would have never given chances to many of these men in real life, and that she does ultimately convince Travis to smash his egg (named “Shelly”) after she tucks it in and sings to it. (At this point, we would have just sent the guy packing.)
New episodes of “The Bachelorette” will continue to air Monday nights, and hopefully in the coming weeks we will have an opportunity to find out more about the guys — who to this point have really been polarizing to many viewers.
