The results are in when it comes to Demi Lovato’s “Skyscraper” on the Billboard Hot 100, and it is certainly news that would make anyone feel like they screaming with joy from the top of a tall building. The song marks Demi’s highest chart debut ever, as her 176,000 copies sold of the single (which put her at #2 on the Digital Songs chart, as previously reported) translated into her landing at #10. This is Demi’s highest debut ever on the chart, and this includes collaborations for the “Camp Rock” soundtracks.
The best thing about this song for Demi at the moment is that there is still endless potential for it to rise even higher thanks to radio airplay — which is really just beginning to pick up.
As for some of the other top songs on the chart at the moment, LMFAO continues their reign at #1 with “Party Rock Anthem,” while Pitbull ft. Ne-Yo, Nayer, and Afrojack holds strong at #2 with “Give Me Everything.” The only major change here is that Katy Perry moves up one spot with “Last Friday Night,” and thus moves ever closer to yet another #1 hit from her “Teenage Dream” super-album.
Are you happy for Demi?
