Despite the failures of “The Voice” live tour in America after season 1, the British version of the show is still making the decision to pull the trigger on it.
According to new reports, the entirety of the show’s final eight — including Bo Bruce, Jaz Ellington, and Tyler James — are all booked to take part in a tour across Britain later this year. The event begins in September, which in itself may be a challenge. Are fans going to still remember these singers well enough to purchase tickets during the middle of “The X Factor” season?
As ambitious as this idea is, “The Voice” is suffering overseas from the same problem it has in America — you don’t get enough time to get to know the singers personally, and once the blind auditions are over there is no gimmick akin to spinning chairs to keep people invested for the weeks ahead. (Sure, there are the coaches — but the show occasionally revolves too much around them rather than the actual singers.)
As talented as the remaining singers are, do you think a tour across Britain later this year will be a success?
