The real question is why you’re mad that I “dared” talk about the ratings.

Of course, they matter. Especially now when the trend is to endlessly renew flop after flop.

Where do you think the money for tomorrow’s shows will come if nobody watches the ones we’re making today?

AMC made a bad decision making the show, made a worse decision renewing it and an even worse one renewing it again.

If Netflix wants to waste its shareholder’s money making shows with little to no audience, all the power to them…

Enjoyed both seasons… Great period piece… Writing did a great job in showing us everyday folk..how many a business venture can sometimes be a result of stolen ideas and other peoples dreams… Enjoyed the entertainment journey….hope it survives. Wish it came on twice a year like the reality show Survivor… It’s probably time for the funeral for this successful show..! All things will come to an end…we just have to know when that should be.

Halt & Catch fire is the show my husband and I wait for all week! We grew up in the tech revolution in Silicon Valley. No fair canceling the show just when it finally gets to where I’ve been dying for it to be all along! Bring the show about the tech revolution to the place synonymous with it!

This show motivates me week in and week out. Since the show’s inception I have built an award winning cyber security company with a unique product that is raising serious funding. Should they renew? This show is creating a whole new generation of entrepreneurs. It’s literally worth it’s weight in gold!

This show, which I’d never heard about, averages between 400,000 and 600,000 viewers.

Ratings-wise, it is a disaster.

To be fair, the show was never really promoted (like I said after two seasons I had never heard of it) so it’s hard to draw conclusions except that the AMC executives renewed an under-promoted flop with no intention to promote it.

That sounds pretty insane to me.
