‘Hannibal’ season 3, episode 8 podcast: On the Tooth Fairy’s introduction, ratings with Jason Prager
It is hard to match the intensity that we received following this past episode of “Hannibal,” where we finally saw the arrest of Dr. Lecter once and for all. How do you really follow up an episode that could have been a series finale for the show? It is hard, and we are not too surprised that “The Great Red Dragon” Saturday did not to us fully match the pure awesomeness of the past few episodes.
Still, this was an important hour for the series, and there is still quite a bit of worthy discussion to have here in this edition of the CarterMatt Podcast. Matt Carter and Jason Prager are reuniting tonight following this episode (around 11:15 p.m. Eastern) to talk at length about the introduction of Francis Dolarhyde a.k.a. the Tooth Fairy, whether or not we like the new setup for the show, and also what Will Graham’s return to this world means in the long-term.
Of course, we imagine that there will also be some more talk about the future of the series, given that this is something that does tend to reveal itself often in these discussions. We’ll go through the ratings for this past episode, and whether or not consistency on Saturdays means at this point hope for the series to come back in some form down the road.
This podcast is just one of many that we’re doing at CarterMatt, given that we do also have some frequent discussions concerning “The Bachelorette” and “Ink Master.” The best way to take these on the go is to subscribe on iTunes.
