Ratings: Grimm finale up; ‘Supernatural’ down; ‘Nikita’ steady

The finish was far from "Grimm."

With the fate of all of the primetime shows set in stone, there is a little bit less tension in the air when it comes to the ratings. However, that doesn’t mean that he are void of anything interesting to talk about for Friday night among the three networks airing new episodes — The CW, NBC, and ABC. (CBS and Fox were in repeats, and are thus not included below.)

NBC – The Peacock scored a major victory Friday as “Grimm” finished the night (and its first season) #1 with its 1.6 rating in the 18-49 demographic, which is overall the show’s highest number since January. As for the other two shows on the night, “Who Do You Think You Are?” (1.0) and “Dateline NBC” (1.1) failed to reap much in the way of benefits from “Grimm’s” success.

ABC – Despite some lesser competition, the season 3 finale for “Shark Tank” still found a way to drop down to a 1.5 rating. This still allowed it to tower over “Primetime: What Would You Do?” (1.2) and “20/20” (1.2) as the highest-rated telecast in the show’s coveted 18-49 demographic.

The CW – Finally, we turn to the network that has actually had some success (all things considered) on Friday nights. “Nikita” scored a 0.4 rating for its season finale — and while this is standard at this point, it posted a fairly impressive total viewer count of close to 1.5 million. Meanwhile, “Supernatural” was down versus last week to a 0.6, but still had over 1.5 million people tuning in. Considering that both shows are coming back, it’s not a bad way to end the season.

Did you check any of this out Friday night?
