There’s something rather strange about the first three previews released for Monday night’s “House” series finale — mostly, that nothing is different at all considering that Hugh Laurie’s character just spent six months behind bars. As a matter of fact, you wouldn’t even know that House even went to the slammer for sure if it wasn’t for a line in the last the three clips — where he claims that he was simply having a little bit of fun when he started a chain of events that led to a massive breakdown in the water pipes.
The only other part of these clips that is extremely worth nothing is who is not a part of them — Wilson. Robert Sean Leonard is nowhere to be seen, and this does make you wonder whether or not he is alive, and if he is just how he is battling the cancer that was starting to take over his life when House first went away to prison.
Of course, just about all of this could be a red herring for something dramatic that happens later in the episode — it wouldn’t be David Shore unless he was saving some of his best for the actual episode itself. (You never want to show your hand too early!)
What do you think the absence of Wilson in these clips means, and why is House in such a great mood all things considered? Stay tuned — we’ll have more news from the final episode leading up to Monday night!
