While just about every minutes of “Game of Thrones” is in some way or another entertainment gold, there are some scenes that still stand out to fans of the George R.R. Martin series more than others.
One of these such scenes just so happens to be the Battle of Blackwater, which has been changed to a nighttime setting for the show in order to make use of some lighting effects. Outside of that, the firt photo from the episode (airing a week from Sunday) unfortunately does not reveal much.
“Thrones” is devoting pretty much an entire episode (not to mention much of its production budget) to this episode, and following it there will only be one episode left for season 2 that focuses on the aftermath. Yes, that’s right — seasons for this show fly by faster than pretty much any other one on television. (Of course, this is probably assisted by the fact that they are only ten episodes long.)
It also should be noted that for those of you worried about how many changes are going to be made her to accommodate the budget, Marin wrote this episode himself — in other words, he’s happy with the story that he managed to create for this medium.
Check back over the weekend, as we’ll have a full preview for Sunday night’s new installment!
