We have a pair of stories coming up when it comes to a pair of cable series — while there is some good news, there is also some bad.
First things first, Oxygen announced on Wednesday that “Best Ink” would be coming back for another season. Despite not posting some of the best ratings out there for the network, the show will get another shot at expanding its audience in the reality competition genre thanks it improving year-to-year on timeslot numbers. (Ironically, a show with a similar premise in “Ink Master” has also been renewed for a second season on Spike.)
On a slightly different (and much sadder) note, Deadline is reporting that A&E has opted not to move forward with another season of “Breakout Kings.” Through the show’s second season, it reportedly averaged a 0.6 rating in the 18-49 demographic. (In other news, the show would probably get renewed if it ended up airing on The CW.)
