As lovers of all things “Shark Tank,” it pains us to say that Friday night is going to serve as the season finale for the show — but at least the show looks to be going out in a big way.
One of the products pitched during this episode is going to be COUGAR energy, which bills itself as being a “lifestyle” energy drink that both contains 13 superfruits and appeals largely to the female demographic in its name. It’s a bit of an unusual presentation, mostly because we’re watching a man talk about what suits a woman between the ages of 30-55, while a woman within that very range stays mostly quiet as she smiles and takes a drink of an energy drink placed into a cocktail glass.
While the brand idea seems like one that could work, there are two issues made apparent in the preview clip below:
1. The man is seeking $150,000 for 30% equity in his company — and with this, he is valuing his company at half a million dollars.
2. The drink has made $60,000 in sales, but over the course of three years. We don’t know what’s holding it back, but the sharks are likely to get into a bit of an investigation here on this matter.
Also in this episode, get ready to see an appearance by rapper Pitbull as we see an update from one of the success stories from this show’s past.
The “Shark Tank” finale airs Friday nights at 8:00 p.m. Eastern on ABC, and we will as always have a full review up after it airs.
