For the Wednesday morning edition of “American Idol” notes, we have an update when it comes to Adam Lambert’s “Trespassing” sales — in addition to that, we have a pair of videos to give you something to watch as you kick off your day.
Early sales – As of this writing, it’s still too early to tell just how well “Trespassing” is going to fare for the week as a whole — especially when so many diehard Adam fans will pick up the album within the first few days, and the numbers could be more front-loaded than with many other artists.
However, what we can say is that the album has been #1 on iTunes as of this writing pretty much ever since it was released, and it does seem to be on pace for a nice opening. However, you also have to remember that due to the release window in May rather than the November launch of “For Your Entertainment,” it’s best to temper some expectations of a gigantic opening number — especially since “Never Close Our Eyes” has yet to make a big splash on the radio.
Carrie goes “Dancing” – Just in case you missed out on Carrie Underwood’s appearance on “Dancing with the Stars” Tuesday night, we have it for you in the video below. She performed new hit “Good Girl” — and while it was not altogether different from some of her past performances, there’s still no question that she is one of the most dynamic country performers to ever come out of the show.
Is Jennifer Lopez returning? – There are once again questions when it comes to whether or not J.Lo will be back for another season on “Idol” — but based on what she is saying now on the subject, it doesn’t seem that likely.
In a new interview on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” the singer explained that now that her twins are older, they are able to travel more — and she would like the time in her schedule to do more things. There is some major butt-kissing going on here courtesy of Ellen about J.Lo’s judging abilities — and while she has improved this year, you have to think she is going to want at least the $15 million that Britney Spears received for “X Factor” (if not more) to come back again. Do you really want to pay this much for one judge when your ratings are already declining?
As always, stay tuned for more of the latest “Idol” news!
