Despite some drama that unfolded on Sunday night’s edition of “The Celebrity Apprentice” over music, Clay Aiken and Debbie Gibson still very much do get along in real life. As a matter of fact, the former “American Idol” star has a pretty good relationship with the ’80s icon as a whole.
After the fight over the weekend, Clay posted the following message on Twitter to suggest that the drama shown on TV was really mostly a response to frustration (and likely exhaustion) — and should not be taken as a staunch indication about his feelings for Debbie:
“Let there be NO confusion. I LOVE
@DebbieGibson … She and I ARE good friends and will remain. Next week you’ll see. :-)”
If there has been one thing truly impressive about Clay this season, it has been his ability to separate working on individual tasks and his personal relationships with people. For example, he has already admitted to clashing with Penn Jillette on multiple occasions, but also wanted him to be on his team for the final task to show that he can get along with all sorts of personalities. (He also was more than complimentary about Penn when we spoke to him last week.)
Based on what we have seen so far, do you think that Clay should win this season?
