Kirstie Alley, Kate Gosselin talk ‘Dancing with the Stars’ All-Star season

There is definite interest here.

While ABC and executive producer Conrad Green have yet to name any participants for the upcoming All-Star edition of “Dancing with the Stars,” there are already plenty of famous faces from the past who are throwing their names into consideration.

While there are plenty more people in addition to the ones below interested, these are the ones who have overtly done something to show that they would be happy to step back into the ballroom:

-Sherri Shepherd said on Twitter that it would be “wild” to get a chance to redeem herself following a stunning elimination earlier this fall — but also questioned whether Val Chmerkovskiy would be “up for it.”

-Kirstie Alley responded to a question about whether or not she would go back in the ballroom with a “maybe.” Considering that she has taken dance lessons ever since being on the show, she could be rather good.

-While Gilles Marini did not tweet himself that he was interested, he has posted some stories about the All-Star season — a not-so-subtle sign that he would love to be back.

-Mario Lopez has already made it clear that he has been asked back.

-While she is the biggest longshot of all (mostly because she wasn’t anywhere close to good on the show), Kate Gosselin also posted that she would go back if asked: “Heck I’d do it again… For my kids! They are glued to every season since mine.. Why not? You only live once!:)”

At this moment, who do you think would be the best cast for this season — and do you think the stars should be paired with their original pros, or with someone new?
