If you’ve been reading our posts all week, then you already know that there is going to be some sort of tragic death that happens during the season finale of “Grey’s Anatomy” Thursday night. However, in the midst of all the drama surrounding who the person is that presumably loses their life in the plane crash, we have actually forgotten that there will be a story going on back at Seattle Grace.
So what is going to happen back at the hospital? According to TV Guide, Chief Webber is going to spend most of the episode preparing a special dinner to send-off some of the (presumably departed residents) — though we have a feeling plans are going to change again once news of the crash arrives back at the hospital.
Is it possible that the hospital could actually be the setting for the death rather than the actual crash? While it would be a bit strange considering the way in which the episode has been promoted, don’t put it past executive producer Shonda Rhimes to lead us off of the scent to the best of her ability. After all, we have seen at least a good many of the doctors survive the initial impact of the plane hitting the ground (with a couple of exceptions). If someone is going to lose their lives through this, it is likely going to be due an injury sustained after the crash — or that the person who dies was never at the crash to begin with.
No matter what happens, the lives of all the doctors will never be the same — and we hope that at the end of the day, Chief Webber still finds a way to collect the doctors together to remind them how far they have come. If nothing else, tragedy has a tendency to bring people closer together.
Do you think that the plane crash could be a smokescreen — and as much fun as it is to speculate, are you just ready for the episode to air now?
