I think it would be good fun to have her be an old college friend of beckett’s that has a mischievous side so being a cop would have been to straight laced and while being in security she turns her back on something bad and people come after her and she seeks Beckett’s help to get her out of trouble. However, in helping her friend Hayley Beckett faces moral dilemmas as she digs deeper into Hayley’s past.

Would be cool to see the billion be a deranged fan targeting castle, focusing castle as the victem and needing to show his ability to survive

Could be someone brought in when threats are made against Capt. Beckett by a notorious shadowy figure. Someone used to doing things her way not necessarily by the book.

A young 11yr old teen that is a survivor from a parents death and is adopted by Castle & Beckett would add another interest. An added daily housekeeper with a personality for a very busy family would also add even more interesting episodes, drama,comedy, to the hour.

I just hope the new character is not protecting Beckett due to a Senate run. No politics for Kate. She is not cut out for that and it would be against her grain. Besides, she has too many skeletons in her closets as does her family. Remember, Castle has ties to the mob!

I really think they both have a lot to understand about each other and make better grounds. I mean, it’s like in Castle they forget all the issues they have immediately, and there are many trust and other issues raised that should be talked about. I mean, take the season 5’s end arc, the worst ever, especially TSATQ, Beckett kisses another guy but nothing happens, she’s insecure and both look bored and then the secrets and the engagement just lets all that slide? I would hate it if the new characters comes in between them, they did a lot of mistakes with Eric Vaughn and it’s fair to say they only cleaned up Castle’s mistake and ignored/forgave beckett too easily. I mean, why go to another storyline without actually making sure this all storyline is complete satisfied?

Hayley has already been a cop and changed her career either because she crossed the line and did something that caused her dismissal or she was tired of being a cop and decided to open her own business in security for a change and to earn more money. All of this would indicate that she would not return as a cop.
However, she seems to have a personality much like Becket’s and if Becket takes a liking to her and becomes Captain she could overlook some things and hire her as a cop anyway. I would not like this to happen though because I would like more separation between the two characters so as to avoid unhappy relations. This separation (or distance) would explain the “fractional” appearances of Hayley so I stick with my opinion that she will stay as security possibly to protect Becket when she runs for the senate.
