If you have been holing out hope for a “Dancing with the Stars” All-Star season based on some of the recent rumors, you’re in luck — it’s going to be coming to TV this fall.
In a press conference call prior to the upfront presentation on Tuesday, ABC head Paul Lee confirmed that the show is going to air a season featuring fan favorites from past seasons — an idea that was first mentioned by Mario Lopez on “Live! with Kelly” earlier this year. We already know that the show will feature no winners, and some early favorites to make return appearances to view for the Mirrorball Trophy include Mel B, Gilles Marini, Lopez, Kyle Massey, and Sabrina Bryan — though it’s to be seen whether or not any of these people end up being a part of the final cast.
This announcement should help to boost some sagging ratings for the series, which dropped significantly in the fall and has not recovered ever since. It is still among one of the most-watched programs on TV, but has also skewed older as the show has progressed.
At this very moment, who would you like to see make an appearance on a “Dancing” all-stars show?
