While it’s possible that there could be a few select cast members of “Glee” that we do not end up seeing again following the graduation-themed season finale in a week, it does appear as though Santana will be finding a way to stick around in some shape or form — at least if you base it based on what Naya Rivera is saying now.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter about her plans for season 4, Rivera suggested that we could see the character’s continued pursuit of stardom — though the actress also added that she would be happy to do anything so long as she is involved:
“Santana just wants to be a star; she definitely will be pursuing that … The big question is, is the University of Louisville big enough for Santana? I don’t have a preference as long as I’m still involved with the show, which I am, in any capacity.”
As for the future of Santana and Brittany, that is a question that is still firmly up in the air. It doesn’t appear to be likely based on tiny clues that Brittany will be joining Santana in Louisville — let alone graduating — so the two may have to try out long-distance dating for a while.
While Rivera seems like a near-lock to return in some shape or form, the same cannot be said for some other actors — Amber Riley and Dianna Agron have specifically been the target of questions regarding their future on the show, and Mark Salling may also be departing as Puck starts up his pool-cleaning business in Los Angeles.
What sort of capacity do you want to see Santana appear during season 4 — and are you okay with some “Brittana” long-distance dating?
