“Castle” only wrapped up its fourth season one week ago, but already we are starting at lest get some sort of sense about what is going to be coming up when the show kicks off filming for season 5 this summer.
We already heard from executive producer Andrew W. Marlowe that the goal is to now have a bit more fun and explore the relationship of Castle and Beckett as a couple; with that in mind, Stana Katic tells Entertainment Weekly that she is looking forward to seeing what sort of storyline she will be faced with for the coming collection of episodes:
“I don’t know what they’re going to do. I know that Andrew is always felt that the show has that kind ofHis Girl Friday feel. And I feel in any relationship there are these wonderfully charming, complicated moments of adjustment and getting to know each other in a relationship that are quite charming and compelling to watch. So I think if anything they’ll probably explore a lot of that. Andrew has a lot of humor and a wonderful wit about him, and he’s got a big heart in the end. So I think we’ll have that color in anything he writes.”
Of course, it’s also fair to say that you should expect the case involving Beckett’s mom to still get its due time during the coming season — though, like with most other shows of this nature, the majority of the drama will probably be saved for both the season premiere in September along with the finale in May.
What sort of adventures do you want to see Castle and Beckett go on during season 5 as a couple — and would you be altogether upset if it is a slow buildup to a possible wedding a few seasons down the road?
