‘Swamp People’ star Mitchell Guist dies after accident on boat

Guist suffered an accident.

There’s some rather sad news coming out  — in particular if you are a fan of the History Channel’s super-popular series “Swamp People.”

According to TMZ, one of the most popular alligator hunters on the series in Mitchell Guist died early Monday morning, when he suffered a “fall” after supposedly having a seizure while on board a boat in Louisiana’s Belle River.

Another person on board Guist’s boat called 911 after returning to shore, and multiple attempts to save him via CPR were unsuccessful. His body was transferred to Teche Memorial Hospital, and was pronounced dead soon after.

“Swamp People” is one of History’s most-popular series — and while the network has yet to release a statement yet on Guist’s passing, one is expected to come at any minute.

Stay tuned — we’ll have more on this developing story as it breaks.
