‘The Fosters’ season 3 spoilers: Will Jude and Connor keep their relationship hidden?

Jude has already has quite a few different hurdles to overcome on “The Fosters,” but  his relationship with Connor is one of the most complicated decisions that he’s had to make in terms of how to handle it. At the moment, it seems to be very clear that he wants to be in a relationship with Connor, and there is no issue when it comes to whether or not he’s interested in keeping it going.

However, there does appear to be some significant ambiguity when it comes to whether or not they should tell anyone about it. In the sneak peek below (via HollywoodLife), Connor makes his position clear that since he’s already told his father, he feels like the scariest part of the entire situation is already out of the way. However, Jude wants to keep it hidden, ultimately because he feels like it is not anyone else’s business. While that may be true, isn’t it going to be so much harder on him to not be able to express any affection with someone he cares about in public?

Then again, we understand that it’s not entirely easy for two kids to have a gay relationship publicly, even today. Jude is probably worried about being bullied, or someone trying to deliberately split the two up. If it remains a secret, it may be easier to protect. However, the thing about secrets is that it is very hard to keep them that way, and they’ll have to be on watch for anyone who is out there, ready and willing to cause trouble.
