Are we going to see some massive changes to the Fox schedule this fall? Based on what we are hearing at this very moment, it looks to be very much a possibility.
According to a report from Deadline, executives for the network are strong looking at moving “Glee” to Thursdays — where it could be paired with both “The X Factor” in the fall and “American idol” in the spring. Meanwhile, it would be moving “Touch” to Fridays — where it could actually fare pretty well considering it is currently up against a show in “Person of Interest” with a similar audience.
As for a reason behind the “Glee” move, it looks to be due to Fox’s desire to put a two-hour comedy block on Tuesday with “Raising Hope” and “New Girl” as the anchors along with two new comedies — “Ben & Kate” and Mindy Kaling’s “It’s Messy.” Is this smart? We’re unsure, mostly because the network tried this sort of lineup out in the spring to little ratings success (even though the move would help “Glee” to keep his momentum).
Do you think this sort of move would be smart for the network to make?
