If you love Jonny Lee Miller, Lucy Liu, McLovin from “Superbad,” and Michael Chiklis, we have some rather great news for you — CBS has officially picked up some new series featuring some of these actors.
While the full 2012-13 schedule has yet to be announced, the following series will be a part of either the fall lineup or as a midseason replacement.
“Elementary” – Starring Jonny Lee Miller (“Dexter” season 5, “Eli Stone”) as Sherlock and Lucy Liu as Watson, it is a modern-day retelling of the classic Arthur Conan Doyle story set in New York City.
“Vegas” – While this drama is set in a time period that doomed “Pan Am,” this crime drama does boast an ambitious cast — including Michael Chiklis, Dennis Quaid, and Carrie-Anne Moss (who was recently a part of “Chuck”).
“Partners” – From the creators of “Will & Grace,” this comedy has some similarities — though it’s also reminiscent of “The Odd Couple” in how it focuses on two guys whose longtime friendship has actually lasted longer than any other relationship in their lives.
“Golden Boy” – A drama about the rise of a high-powered cop. Chi McBride (“Pushing Daisies”) and Kevin Alejandro (“True Blood”) star.
“Friend Me” – Christopher Mintz-Plasse (the aforementioned McLovin) is one of the stars of this series, which focuses on a couple of friends who go to work for Groupon. Product placement? Let’s just hope that it’s funny.
“Made in Jersey” – In this drama, we have a working-class woman who uses what she knows in order to succeed against more high-powered attorneys. in other words, this reminds us of “Harry’s Law.”
“The Job” – A show where contestants compete to land a gig at one of their dream jobs.
