While “A Gifted Man” star Patrick Wilson is not necessarily furious over his show being canceled after just one season, it does seem that he wished it was handled in a little bit of a better way.
In a new post on Twitter, the 38-year old actor explained following the confirmation of the cancellation news this weekend that he did not appreciate CBS doing very little to actually personally inform him of the news:
“Thanks for the AGM love…but now that it’s ‘official,’ I couldn’t be happier … As good as it was (sometimes) it was not what I signed on for … So… shocking to no one: #agiftedman is done. Found out via email…and not from the network. Stay classy. Thanks to AGM fans! Great cast/crew!”
“Gifted Man” has been long considered a long shot for renewal, having posted the network’s lowest average rating in the key 18-49 demographic over the course of this past season. In addition to that, it also didn’t help the show’s chances that CBS has a plethora of successful shows, and open spots for new series are thin compared to some of the competitors.
Do you think Wilson’s anger is justified, or should he be happy that the show made it to air in the first place?
