We are a bit later than usual on our “Voice” UK results thanks in part to the NBC upfront presentation Sunday, but there still are some mild surprises to write about when it comes to Sunday night’s results show — though more in the way of who the public decided to save than the judges.
The public saves
Ruth Brown (Team Tom Jones) – Was Ruth really better than Leanne Mitchell? We’re pretty sure the answer is “no” here, but Leanne was also cursed in leading off the competition.
Jaz Ellington (Team will.i.am) – Overall, this team is stronger than Tom’s — and when you consider that Jaz is the best of the best, there is a great chance he will win this whole competition.
The judges’ saves
Leanne Mitchell (Team Tom) – A smart choice, since she does have a genuine chance of making it to the finale even in spite of this misstep.
Tyler James (Team will.i.am) – Tyler probably would have been the top vote-getter on Team Tom; but more than anything, we’re happy to still see him around in the competition.
Matt and Sueleen (Team Tom) – They had an uneven night, and it was proven already that the voting block just wasn’t there.
Joelle Moses (Team will.i.am) – While you can say the same thing about Joelle’s audience, she was a better singer overall.
Frances Wood (Team will.i.am) – Frances wasn’t the best this past week, but we will miss her theatrical abilities on stage.
Adam Isaac (Team Tom) – Who will debate with the judges now after their performance?
What do you think about these results?
