We have a set of new videos from Tuesday night’s double-episode of “Glee,” and more than anything else they show off some pretty entertaining transformations.
First and foremost, we have an opportunity to see for the first time how exactly Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz) ends up bumping her head, which leads to her imaging herself as Rachel Berry. Basically, Tina breaks the cardinal rule of trying to text while you are A) extremely angry (this time about Rachel being somehow better than her) and B) carrying a ton of stuff. She hits her noggin on a floor of a fountain, and when she wakes of Kurt and Blaine are suddenly now being played by Mark Salling (Puck) and Cory Monteith (Finn). Later in this episode, you will see Darren Criss as Puck — and this in itself is more than a little bit entertaining. (Chris Colfer will also be playing Finn.)
In moving forward from the first hour “Props” to the Nationals performances of the second hour, we also now have a performance of Nicki Minaj’s “Starships” from Alex Newell’s Wade — who in this case will be played by his alter ego Unique. Considering that Unique was a major hit at Regionals makes Vocal Adrenaline a threat to win yet again — and this has to be one of the group’s best performances yet. The good news for Newell fans? It’s likely that he will be around for a few more years as a student — even if it is unclear whether or not “Glee” will use him again.
Do you think Vocal Adrenaline will be a threat to New Directions again, and what do you think about Salling’s version of Blaine?
