Totally agree. That’s why it would’ve been great to see Watson actually react to this, instead of just showing up to provide exposition that it’s been three days and dad’s coming. But I also agree with Jesus Love that the finale would’ve been much more impactful if Sherlock had fallen off the wagon instead of being set up and forced off of it by an adversary. The adversary of the addict is the addict himself.

I’m afraid that you are missing a key point here: being smart has little, if not any, impact on managing addiction. This is the whole point… Sherlock is alone, in the sense that no one (except Watson and other addicts) understand this.

I hated season three finale sherlock just took the guys bait. He simply just gave into the drugs if am wstson I dont go back. What is the point of being so smart if u cant use it to fight such a weskness

My other dearest wishes for season 4: Less arcane/convoluted plots, richer and more emotion-based stories, much higher stakes, fewer statically-shot, massively boring exposition scenes, more attention to narrative history/character bg, worthy antagonists (Moriarty or her minions), new showrunner, diverse writing staff, more directing by Liu and MUCH MUCH more Watson. #JWDB
