They renew The Mysteries of Laura for 13 episodes, which was the worst renewal of the season and an extremely stupid decision. However, they won’t offer Danny Pino anything near the totally absurd $200,000+ per episode that they are paying Debra Messing, despite Danny just finishing a 4 year contract that paid him in the area of $100,000-120,000 per episode. He wasn’t in 6-8 episodes this season(NBC’s decision) and I’m sure he wasn’t paid for the ones he wasn’t in. I’m also pretty sure that NBC wanted to do the same thing to him next season(keep him out of 6-8 episodes) which was probably the last straw. NBC, the NOTHING BUT CLOWNS network, except it’s us doing all the crying.
