‘Hawaii Five-0’ season 6 spoilers: Will Michelle Borth return as Catherine?

It has certainly been quite the winding road for Michelle Borth when it comes to her appearances on “Hawaii Five-0.” At one point, she was an enormous part of the series. However, after that she departed the show, and at this point six months ago, we were not entirely sure if she was ever going to appear on the show again.

Luckily, the wedding for Kono and Adam changed that, mostly in that it allowed for a logical platform for her to re-enter the show, and there is a chance now that she will be around for a larger role in season 6. For one, the wedding did not end in season 5, so we will pick up with that next season. As executive producer Peter Lenkov tells TVLine, there are going to be potentially some stories that could feature Catherine even beyond that:

“We haven’t finalized how long she’ll stay, but she’ll definitely be in some episodes at the beginning of the season … We haven’t figured out exactly where to go, but we’re working on it.”

Do we want to see her stick around? It’s really dependent on what the writers have in mind for the character. For example, we don’t really want to see her just be a love interest, and have a story that is strictly romantic. We would much rather see a story that gives her a variety of different things to do.

Ultimately, there’s some time to figure all of this out. The writers have many weeks to work on scripts, and production starts later this summer.
