We’ve waited all week for this, but now we know the winner of this season of “Britain’s Got Talent.” Did we have a shocker on par with Diversity’s win over Susan Boyle, or did favorites Ashleigh & Pudsey and Jonathan & Charlotte each finish in the top two? Read on to find out! (To check out our take on the final’s performances, head on over to this link.)
Before we even found out more in the way of results, both Diversity and Susan Boyle hit the stage, with the latter performing her cover of “We’ll See” from her new album “Someone to Watch Over Me.” Ironically, both of them ended up opening for David Walliams strutting his stuff with the Showbears. (Simon better extend his contract stat!)
Now, let’s get to the results. Here are the top three acts on the night:
Jonathan & Charlotte – They went last on the night, and have an enormous support base. No surprise.
Ashleigh & Pudsey – This is also no surprise, as it may be the first dog act that all of Britain has genuinely fallen in love with.
Only Boys Aloud – Considering that these two were not even Britain’s pick the first time around (as they lose to Ashleigh & Pudsey), it was a bit of a surprise to see them here — though it was still a worthy choice.
In 3rd place was the choir group, which is something they can still be rather satisfied with. This meant that we came down to a showdown between a dog act and an opera duo, and the winner was … Ashleigh & Pudsey! We never saw it coming that a dog act would win — but they are certainly deserving and we could watch these two for hours.
Do you think the right person won this season, and overall wasn’t this far and away better than the David Hasselhoff fiasco from last year’s show?
