‘Awake,’ ‘Bent,’ and ‘Are You There Chelsea?’ canceled by NBC

Say goodbye, Chelsea.

There has been plenty of good news announces lately when it comes to NBC — but now, we have to focus on the downside.

On Friday, the network confirmed that it is canceling four of its lowest-rated shows in “Bent,” “Awake,” “Best Friends Forever,” and “Are You There Chelsea?” after just one season each. There are ultimately no surprises here at all with this list, especially when you remember that “Awake” is really the only one of these series that is even still on the air. (“Chelsea” and “Bent” at least had the opportunity to finish their runs earlier in the spring.)

At this point, most of the shows on the Peacock have been decided, with some of the primary question marks being “Harry’s Law,” “Rock Center with Brian Williams” (which has been shelved for the rest of May sweeps), “The Celebrity Apprentice” (which is expected to return), and “Betty White’s Off Their Rockers.”

Stay tuned — we’ll have more renewals and cancellations as they break.
