Few shows have managed to keep their future a mystery quite like “Glee,” and as we move forward to graduation and the season 3 finale moving forward the questions are only going to amplify — including how in the world the show is going to potentially focus on both New York and Lima, Ohio when it returns next season.
So what’s the plan? Based on what we are hearing, McKinley High will still play a major role — and Cory Monteith, in an interview with E! News, also does not seemingly rule out the possibility of the show venturing to some other locations to go along with it:
“There’s a lot of really cool ideas about how the show is going to focus on different geographical areas.”
If the show chooses to focus on some other locations in addition to Lima and New York, Los Angeles (where Puck is heading to start his business, presumably) and Kentucky (where Santana plans to attend college) could both show up from time to time — though with all of these potential settings and characters, the show is starting to sound a bit like “Game of Thrones” but with song-and-dance numbers.
Even though there may be an expanded focus for season 4, don’t expect every character to make the transition — Dianna Agron is just one of the actresses rumored to be moving on from the show after the finale, and there is simply no way that Ryan Murphy can really look at every setting that could possibly be out there.
Do you think this idea is promising, or has “disaster” written all over it?
