Fans like Tony. Showing Tony get’s their attention. But it appears that TPTB don’t like Tony so much. It’s all a gimmick to lift their sagging viewership numbers.

We know that this episode is another Gibbs and McGee centric episode as Gibbs connects to the boy and McGee and Dorneget go to Cairo where there will be a death. Tony probably won’t do anything nearly as dangerous or important as Gibbs and McGee which has been the disappointment of season 12. I’ve gotten bored waiting for Tony to do something/anything that is exciting, flattering, or interesting. As a Tony fan, I’ve all but given up on ever seeing him do anything but filler scenes supporting the super Gibbs and SIC McGee show.
