It’s amazing that you can renew a show and yet have almost everyone in the cast unsigned for the next season. Did NBC renew it quickly because all the other networks were renewing shows and they were doing NOTHING? Now that it is almost certain that The Mysteries of Laura and State of Affairs will be cancelled and NBC will no longer be paying $200,000+ per episode to Katherine Heigl and Debra Messing(someone confirmed my worst fears that they were being paid that much) can NBC do the right thing and pay Kelli Giddish that kind of money? She has been a wonderful team player and has proven that she deserves to be paid that much. Will NBC finally realize how talented she really is and give her a long term deal. The day may come when Mariska might decide she’s had enough, and having Kelli ready to step in and take over would be wonderful. It’s time for NBC to stop cutting the legs out from under SVU(the payroll and budget have been cut for the last 4 years in a row; no explanation from NBC) and treat it with the respect it deserves.
