I mentioned this in another post. Has anyone thought that McGee could be the one to go and Dorney has been reintroduced as his potential team replacement? When GG mentioned the loss will bring back familiar faces - that could mean everybody and anybody including Ziva. No matter what, this show is in its wind down stages. I just hope that it goes out with a bang not a whimper. Time will tell.

I agree on the McGee part; he's too much in the focus at the cost of Tony. I'm bored by that too because Sean Murrey has limited skills as an actor (sorry Sean, but your expressions are very limited). Plus it should be Tony in which Gibbs confides in as he is the Second in Command.

I also agree on the likely Dorney death. Look close at the trailer: the scene where the casket is carried out of the plane; looks like McGee follows the casket. McGee is slimer than Dornegat and since both are overseas - Dorney is the most likely choice.

Gibbs has at least a hand injury as seen in the trailer, too.

I wish the Tony of the first seasons will make a long overdue comeback in S13 (if there is an S13)

Harmon is on another contract circle than most cast members - while Perette, Weatherly, Carroll, Murray inked new deals before S12 started, Harmon did sign a multi-year contract before S11. It was never revealed how long the contract goes, but at least 2 years. So he may be up for a new deal with S13 or not.

As for the Bishop, she's depending if you count the backdoor pilot on JAG or not, already the 4th resp 3rd actress in that role. She's not Ziva and that's perfectly fine. Ziva wasn't Kate either, so just give her a break. Ziva had a much easier start as Jenny Shepard was introduced at the same time. Cote wanted to do other things, so why can't you all respect her wish to do other things than NCIS. She's young, she played that part for 8 years: maybe she needed that change? maybe she was sick of Ziva? Whatever it was, please respect her decision. With all your begging to her to come back, you all do exactly the opposite.

As long as the core cast from the backdoor pilot stays on board, aka Harmon, Weatherly, Perette and McCallum, the show will probably survive. McCallum said once, as long as there is life in him, there's life in Ducky. So I don't think they will kill him off, except he had asked for that. And then we should respect his wish, as hard as it may be.

Gibbs is seen in the trailer of next episode with at least a hand injury, plus Glasberg stated something about a scene in the final Harmon is excited about. So, he will survive the next episode. Now if you look close at the trailer, the scene where the casket get carried out of the plane, I think it's McGee following behind. Since McGee and Dornegat were both overseas, my guess it's Dorney who will die.

The first episode in a three episode arc starts with 14.54 mil viewers and 1.97 demo. Not as unbelievable as you would think considering the direction the show has taken in the past 1 1/2 years. The interesting thing is the numbers for NCIS New Orleans are just a beat lower than the original (14.32 mil viewers and 1.8/6 demo) the closest I have ever seen the original and a spinoff of NCIS. A few things I noticed about last night's episode Troll: Something is wrong with Ducky. He looked unwell or preoccupied in the morgue. Hope it is not his health. I enjoyed the interaction between Tim and Dorneget. That is similar to what Abby and Tim used to do in years past. Gibbs playing racquetball....no I don't think so. Gibbs and Jake being friends...okay Gibbs and Jake talking daily on the phone....no I don't think so. Gibbs wouldn't talk to anyone everyday on the phone. Gibbs thanking Palmer. Oh no. As Ducky would say "There is trouble afoot.". The whole Jake and Bishop soap opera...no. This type of acting belongs on a daytime soap it there are any left. Also Jake caved pretty quickly with the info. I would be worried if people working for the NSA give up secret information because their spouse is mad at them. Unrealistic. Terrorism again. There is plenty of that going on in real life. No need to see it on Naval Criminal Investigative Service. It seems these days they just kill off someone in the military to connect them to any type of story they like which will be the extent of the military involvement. Tony...I can't remember what Tony did last night if anything. I will have to watch it again.

The show is no longer about a team - it's become about Gibbs, so if Gibbs was killed off I can't imagine that the show would survive. They have pushed McGee forward quite a lot this season and all I can say is that a little McGee goes a long way. He's not a terribly dynamic character or actor and I find myself bored when he's the constant focus no matter how much drama and danger they throw his way.
What I find sad and interesting is that in this highly promoted final arc, only 3 of the 4 team members it seems will have moments of drama and danger in which to shine.
Last night in Troll, I thought that the Ellie and Jake issues were well done and well acted. We know that McGee will be going to Egypt next week with Dorneget for the pivotal (likely Dorneget) death, so there is McGee's drama. Of course super Gibbs faced the danger last night and will no doubt be seen suffering much angst not to mention possible injury, will connect with the young boy next week, and of course since Glasburg wrote the finale, it will be ALL about Gibbs who will face all danger, loss, and drama.
Let's see, who on the team isn't doing much of anything? Oh right - Tony - as usual.

Mark could be feeling the load as he is one of the producers for NCIS New Orleans so there may be something afoot where he backs down some and Tony/McGee take over. If Harmon is out and Gibbs has a funeral will Ziva return for it as one of the familiar faces? Once the main characters start to leave that winds down the show. It started with Cote and it is only a matter of time before they finish it off with someone else dying or being written out in some way . I've always been an NCIS fan and will miss the show when its done. I still miss JAG its predecessor.

Gibbs. According to EW this death will draw back familiar faces. Although it seems as if the show would be done if Mark Harmon left I think they are already headed there anyway, this is the first time that I remember that he didn't sign his contract early and let everyone know about it. Maybe he doesn't want to go down with a sinking ship or he's just plain tired of the hassle. The show is already dropping viewers so Season 13 could kick off a new and younger NCIS spinoff starring....drum roll please...our favorite character ever Bishop!!! EW did say that the character could come back as a ghost next season. Also don't dismiss the spinoff with Bishop so easily. The more the fans complain the more she has been pushed front and center. They seem to be on a mission to make her a star. Who cares what fans think?
