For the Wednesday afternoon edition of “American Idol” notes, we have a number of new stories to focus on concerning not only a pair of country-oriented contestants, but also one of the current judges. (Luckily, it’s all in video form!)
Carrie Underwood hits up “Ellen” – On Wednesday the season 4 winner made her much-anticipated appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” and in the process she actually did something rather surprising — perform a song that is not on her new album “Blown Away.”
Instead, Carrie opted to perform “Undo It” from her “Play On” album, mostly because it is one of Ellen’s favorite songs — and on Ellen’s show, she tends to get whatever she wants (which isn’t exactly a bad thing). In addition to the performance, you can also check out a new interview featuring Carrie below.
Skylar Laine talks exit on “Today” – In continuing her post-show tour, Skylar Laine made an appearance this week on on “The Today Show.” While longtime Skylar fans will likely be familiar with the content here, it was still nice to see her energy on TV once again.
Skylar said that she literally could see any of the remaining four singers winning, but she wouldn’t even pick if there was one person that stood out above the rest. While she may be gone for now, the good news is that we will see more of her in just two weeks during the finale.
Steven Tyler stops by “The Late Late Show” – Finally, you can check out new video featuring judge Steven Tyler in a new interview on “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.” The chat starts off with Steven claiming that he still had not met Simon Cowell, and then he goes on into some discussion about Aerosmith, getting sober, and then what is happening this season on the show. At the very end, he even busted out Craig’s harmonica for a bit of an impromptu jam session.
