2012 Daytime Emmy Awards nominations: ‘General Hospital’ leads

The nominations are in!

The 2012 Daytime Emmy Awards are going to be presented on June 23 — but we already know just what shows are going to have an opportunity of taking home some gold.

Even though looking at the drama category is almost tear-inducing thanks to “All My Children” and “One Life to Live” both being off the air, they each scored some attention — however, the last remaining ABC soap in “General Hospital” led the way with 23 nominations.  There is also some good news for some talk shows — especially Anderson Cooper’s freshman series picking up a good many nominations.
