‘American Idol’ song spoilers: Jessica Sanchez, Joshua Ledet, and the top 4

The list is here!

Just as we teased earlier Wednesday, we now have the official list of the songs that are going to be performed during the “American Idol” top 4 performance show this week — and now, the only question is just who is singing what. (We have our predictions included below.)

For those who have not heard, there are two themes for the night — songs from California artists, and songs that the top 4 wish that they had written themselves.

With that being said, we find it pretty sad that we’ve heard seven out of the following ten songs on either “Idol” or “The Voice” already at some point in the past few years:

California Dreamin’

– “Have You Ever Seen the Rain” by Creedence Clearwater Revival – Has to be Phillip Phillips. We can’t see him singing anything else.

– “Steal Away” by Etta James – We see this as Jessica Sanchez, though Joshua Ledet would not surprise us.

– “You Raise Me Up” by Josh Groban – Two days after Chris Mann did the song, we expect to hear Hollie Cavanagh on the vocals.

– “Faithfully” by Journey – As with the James song, we see it as Joshua with a slight chance of it being Jessica.

Songs You Wish You Wrote

– “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going” by Jennifer Holiday – This has Jessica Sanchez written all over it, though we are predicting Joshua.

– “I Can’t Make You Love Me” by Bonnie Raitt – We would say Skylar if she was still around — since she’s not, we say Hollie.

– “Volcano” by Damien Rice –  Once again, this is Phillip mostly by default.

– “It’s a Man’s Man’s Man’s World” by James Brown – We’re thinking Jessica here, and yes, this is another song performed recently on “The Voice.”

– “This Love” by Maroon 5 – We’re guessing Jessica and Phillip here, but it is purely a guess.

– “Eternal Flame” by The Bangles – Hollie and Joshua are close friends; shouldn’t they get a duet together?

What’s your reaction to the song list?
