When “Once Upon a Time” first started up this season, just about everyone assumed that Jamie Dorman’s character of The Huntsman / Sheriff Graham was going to play a key role for many months to come. However, his sudden death earlier this season ended up being one of the most shocking things we have seen on TV all year, as the Evil Queen ended up crushing his heart and destroying him just as he and Emma were starting to develop feelings for each other.
The good news? Dorman will be back for the finale, but all executive producers Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz are saying at the moment is that he will be returning in a very surprising fashion Sunday night. Is it possible that we could see the Sheriff in Storybrooke again? Considering that Kathryn managed to seemingly come back from the dead does lead to it being a possibility, albeit an unlikely one.
Even if he stays gone in the “cursed” world set in Maine, Dorman will always have a presence in the fairytale world that was, as there is still a rich history for his character that could be explored if the co-creators chose to do so. Of course, there are issues when it comes to scheduling and all of that — but we’re hopeful that we will still see more of the Huntsman at some point during season 2.
For the time being, what do you expect Dorman’s role during the finale to be?
