Monday night’s “Hart of Dixie” was much about departures, though of different forms depending on which character you are talking about.
When it comes to Zoe, she spent most of this episode trying to make her mind up on a key decision — is she going to stay in Alabama to continue her work, or take off to Boston in order to work with her father? The appeal of the latter here was certainly understandable, mostly because she’s managed to anger a good many people in the town — and word tends to travel fast in a place like this.
In truly dramatic fashion, it wasn’t until she was at the airport that Zoe finally deciding to give her current environment one more shot, and actually start to rebuild some of the relationships that she once had.
Speaking of rebuilding relationships, George and Lemon spent most of this episode trying to rebuild what they lose courtesy of the Lavon affair, and this involved heading to a hotel room for an intimate night. Of course, we don’t imagine that the plan was for them to get boozed up and for Lemon to get her head stuck in the bed while George was in the bathroom.
This relationship has not always been the easiest one to understand on the show, what was appreciated here was how this sort of disaster actually ended up bringing the two together more than physical intimacy — the very thing that they have been dreading and putting off ever since trying to make their relationship work.
Since we’re nearing the finale, do you like the way the show is currently progressing when it comes to the relationships?
