Finally, we have some more casting details when it comes to one of the most mysterious projects out there on TV at the moment — the second season of “American Horror Story.”
According to a new report from Deadline, Oscar-winning actor James Cromwall (whose last major TV role was on “Six Feet Under”) is set to appear throughout the season as a doctor at the mental hospital on the East Coast where Jessica Lange’s character is the head of the operation. Lange and Cromwall are expected to be some sort of bitter rivals, though in what way is currently unclear.
The cast for season 2 (which premieres this fall) is already quite expansive — in addition to these two, we will also be seeing visits from returning stars Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, and Zachary Quinto along with “The Voice” coach / Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine. The show will be competing as a miniseries for the Primetime Emmy Awards later this year thanks to its self-enclosed nature and number of episodes.
