APologies for my limited thinking alongwith many others. Ziva is an actor and was only as great as the stuff written for her. I still don't think Bishop could have done the same material justice butZiva had a lot of good stuff written for her. Too bad she coouldn't have had that quality of writers on the show shw left for. It was soooo boring.Just hope she got paid realllllly well. I"s never watch a rerun of it like I do of her work on USA .

Sorry - I was overly dramatic in the previous post. I don't really want to see Tony killed off. Just better written.

Sad to say I'm going to skip this one. This season has been a major disappointment. I doubt that I'll watch any of the remaining episodes until after I've read reviews and found out if Tony is yet again insignificant or written as the team butt monkey. The only two characters who have gotten any excitement or drama are Gibbs and McGee. They give these two ALL the importance in the cases and flattering writing. Now it seem Bishop will get some. Michael Weatherly's Tony is why I watch the show but I kind of wish they'd kill the character off. The consistent dismantling of a once wonderful character is death by a thousand needles. He does absolutely nothing of any consequence anymore unless he's a key player and nearly always demeaned in the "comic" B plot. TPTB are so unimaginatively desperate to make him look ridiculous that they are recycling an unflattering plot in Lost in Translation from a season 8 episode. Meanwhile the A plot is yet another in a never ending line of super Gibbs abroad plots. If the finale is another big Gibbs or McGibbs drama with Tony either completely insignificant or written as the embarrassing "comic" fodder, I won't be back for season 13. I've had enough.

With Gibbs and Bishop going to Afghanistan it brings to mind the episode where she kept asking everyone about going undercover and what might she have to do. In the preview for next week we see her telling Gibbs not to send her into a situation for which she is not trained. I think it might be an interesting episode. Sorry to see the whole "face of the department" plot line is back. Would have loved to see Tim and Tony work in tandem on an interesting case while Gibbs is gone instead or if they wanted funny, Tim and Tony babysitting for Jimmy. There has to be a few new ideas out there. These guys are too old to be jealous of things like this. It takes away from their characters as intelligent agents and makes them look silly not funny..
