Its just one of those things that must happen not only to punish her but to remind her to be careful about the things she does in this time. Yes she would’ve understood if he explained to her like how we modern people would do…but there is certainly no time for that. It’s a dangerous time. Things must proceed. However i do believe that it is a mistake if he kept doing it every time she makes a mistake.
