As we wrote about in our “Britain’s Got Talent” performance review this afternoon, there were a number of standout acts. However, only three out of the nine acts that performed had a chance of advancing — of these, two will end up performing on the final.
For those unaware with the format, how it works is that the top vote-getter of the public automatically advances, and then the judges choose from the remaining two acts to determine who ends up joining them this coming weekend during the finale.
Britain’s choice – This was a tough one considering the competition, but the public ultimately voted with their hearts in picking Ashleigh and Pudsey. They are the best dog act ever on the show, even though it is unclear just what sort of career they would have after the show.
The judges’ choice – This one was tough, since both choir Only Boys Aloud and boy band The Mend had a great deal of support during the show, and also received some rave reviews. With that in mind, the judges ultimately decided to let Britain decide by coming to a deadlock. David Walliams and Amanda Holden each picked the choir, while Simon Cowell and Alesha Dixon were behind the Mend.
The final decision? Only Boys Aloud is through, and The Mend is sent packing despite showing some promise.
Do you think the right decisions were made?
