The CW has finally blinked when it comes to renewing some of their shows, though the following bit of news is probably not going to come as much of a surprise to anyone.
The following three shows have all been given the green light for additional seasons:
“The Vampire Diaries“ – It’s the highest-rated show on the network, and it’s also one with a huge online following.
“Supernatural“ – Despite airing on Friday nights, the sci-fi series has somehow still become the second-strongest series for a network that has entered a state of flux.
“90210” – Despite some drops in the ratings, the famous zip code’s revival continues to go strong — now, if only the network could find a suitable partner to air afterwards.
As for the rest of the shows, their fate will be announced at the network upfront presentation in May. “Hart of Dixie,” “Nikita,” “Ringer,” and “The Secret Circle” are currently considered to be the four shows in the greatest danger of getting axed — but in reality, as many as two of them could end up seeing the light of day again.
