I can not and will not like Bishop. What has she contributed this season?? Humor by stepping in chili standing in a dumpster?? I think I will pass on that. She couldn’t make me laugh when she was Sandy from Grease either. She is just not funny. They got her off of the floor and she doesn’t talk about her poor eating habits but I still don’t like her. She hasn’t done anything to help this show along and I think people are catching on to that. The demo ratings are what matters, not the viewership but they will brag up on that every commercial break. I do think Michael Weatherly is being punished or else they would of used him more this season. Why haven’t they?? Whats stopping them?? Look at his “Twitter”. It’s all about his family and a little about the show. I don’t blame him. Why brag up on this show or his character when there is nothing good to say about it.

I think that the writing of Bishop has improved and she’s growing on me. I like that they have a probie and I’m glad that they’re not trying so hard to make her too smart to be realistic. As for the ratings I think that for a 12 year old show, they are simply phenomenal. If they are seriously concerned about the demo IMO there is a possible solution. TPTB need to suck it up and admit that despite the fact that Mark Harmon is a handsome and well known draw for the show, he’s not the WHOLE show. 20 somethings are not going to be enticed by seeing a 60 year old man (despite his good looks) play the macho, righteous, heroic, bad ass week after week after week. The solution this season it seems is to try to push McGee to the front and give him action, drama, and fun scenes. Meanwhile, the team’s resident hottie Tony, clicks the clicker and gets no action, no danger, no drama, no exciting story arcs, and essentially – plays no significant or flashy part. Sorry but McGee is not that exciting a replacement for Tony.
TPTB have completely ignored the Q scores which for male actors, Weatherly topped. Murray came in 10th and Harmon 17th. Maybe Weatherly is being punished. IDK. All I do know is that the one time a Tony episode was put at a decent time (during February sweeps) the demo was 2.9 – the highest demo or second highest??? for the season. But tptb stubbornly stick to the super Gibbs, SIC McGee and insignificant Tony formula. Pretty dumb if you ask me.

I think an actress could do far worse than being an iconic character. Leonard Nimoy was forever Spock and holds a dear place in many fans hearts because of this. PP no doubt, like all of us has her faults, but what I see is a person who passionately and sincerely works for causes that she believes in and that kind of person isn’t lost when one door closes. I admire her. I think that the jury is still out on Ms. de Pablo’s career. If CBS was so sure her presence alone would bring in a huge audience I don’t think that they’d have pulled strings to air it after NCIS. They are obviously using NCIS’s popularity to promote their new project. If de Pablo returned I’m sure that many fans would tune in to see it. It would be another sort of freak show like when they kill off characters to increase viewership. My main issue is that once again, Tony’s character would be put on hold in order to promote another Ziva drama. The last few seasons Ziva was on the show, when Tony wasn’t being the inferior butt monkey agent, he was nothing more than an attractive accessory to whatever Ziva arc was being featured at the time. As a Tony fan, I want to see a significant, life changing arc for Tony instead of being some actresses purse or the insignificant third wheel he has become this season.

Some people actually think they will keep Bishop and just let the show go down. Mark and Glasberg will never admit that they made a mistake when creating the Bishop character even if they do replace her. They will never say the actual words. CBS will force the changes, not them. The dislikes of Bishop are almost overwhelming and they still decide to keep her around?? No wonder this show is at the lowest it’s been since the show started. Makes me sad my feelings for this show has done a 180 compared to how I felt about it 3 or 4 years ago. They are two very different shows to me now. I will always watch the reruns but I purposely turn the channel on Tuesday night because I don’t think they deserve my viewership. Why watch a show that has decided to treat their cast and fans soo badly??

Agree. Looked at the reviews on Amazon for Season 11 and 12 (verified purchases) and almost every review mentions a dislike of the Bishop character. Understand the desire to get the younger demographic but since they have added Bishop the demos have dropped from a high of 3.3 in Season 10 to 2.2 in the most recent episode. Unless they return to the formula (team) that has worked for 10 years the show is toast. Really think 13 will be the final season since they are taking so long to announce if there will even be a Season 13.

I again, agree with you on Tony. Season 4 was big on Tony’s storyline and Ziva was right there. I also loved Tony in Season 1 and 2 but the thing is, Tony and Ziva’s partnership intertwined their lives soo much that it was hard to have a story with one and not involve the other. I except that you don’t like Ziva. Tony’s character has diminished even more so in the last season and now season 12. Mark Harmon and Glasberg will ultimately pitch a fit about Cote’s possible return but it’s up to CBS. If they think her return will help the show out, they will have to except that. CBS pays them, remember?? I would love to see her back because I just miss the chemistry Michael and Cote had on screen. Not even implying “Tiva” here. I just miss them on the show together.

My apologies for thinking you liked Bishop and I don’t blame EW either. Her character Bishop is a massive failure. Once they created Ziva David, the discovered gold within the ground. I was just ok with Kate and I was said when she died but that whole story brought us Jenny and Ziva and the show as been great ever since. Bishop has done nothing for this show and it’s affected the rest of the characters because it’s like the have to be equally boring to match Bishop on this show. More and more articles are coming out about Diane Neal and really is showing us what NCIS has become. It’s a waiting game now. With the demo ratings, Diane Neal and Sean Murrey, this show is digging its own grave.

Oh, but I do. Pauley Perrette will forever be Abby Sciuto and I think that’s her biggest fear. Look at who Cote is working with. Roma Downey and her husband are huge in Hollywood and Cote is also all over CBS. She broke away from this show and is doing great. Pauley resents that. Pauley is not the saint she plays on NCIS and she has treated people very badly. Case in point, Cote de Pablo doesn’t need this show anymore even though making appearances would help the show immensely and Pauley Perrette holding onto her role for dear life. I genuinely wonder what we will see Pauley Perrette doing once this show is over?? I see her struggling as an actress. My opinion.

I was all over “Twitter” that night and with Diane Neal and her tweets. Not exactly sure about what happened but according to her tweets, she was working under unsafe conditions and she had a feeling that they were going to blast her and the next thing you know, she’s forced to remove her tweets. NOT RIGHT. I read what Sean Murrey said too but I didn’t really read into that one. Wow…this show. Who cares who the “Big guy” is because more and more articles are coming out about this whole incident and they can’t keep it quiet forever. They think they hushed up Diane Neal and Sean Murrey, they are sadly mistaken. They have fans that remember and saved all that was tweeted. This show has one more season before it will be pulled and after all this crap, I’m stand by what I say.
