‘American Idol’ notes: Carrie Underwood, Adam Lambert, and Haley Reinhart

The album hit stores Tuesday.

For the Wednesday edition of “American Idol” notes, we’re taking a look at some music — and a certain former contestant’s love for “Breaking Bad.”

Carrie Underwood’s #1 – America still loves Carrie Underwood, and it is being proven already by some of the early sales of the season 4 champ’s fourth studio album “Blown Away.” According to a new report from Billboard, “Away” is currently projected to sell around 275,000 for the week and land her at the #1 spot.

While these sales may be the weakest for Carrie’s career to date, there are also some other things to consider here — including that the album is the only one to be released at a time other than in the fourth quarter, when the holiday season traditionally blows sales out of proportion. “Blown Away” could still hold up well in the coming weeks, and so long as it produces some additional hits alongside “Good Girl” it is likely to keep selling well straight into the holiday season.

Adam talks “obsessions” – If you love random Q&A sessions featuring Adam Lambert, the following interview is for you.

The season 8 star recently spoke to VH1 about ten things that he is currently obsessed with, and they include everything from television to music to even napping. It’s best to keep the content a surprise, but above all we can promise that the video is plenty of fun.

Haley performs for Perez – Finally, we have another opportunity to hear Haley Reinhart perform — which to us is always a great thing.

Haley sat down recently for Perez Hilton in order to perform one of the songs on “Listen Up!” (which hits stores on May 22) in “Wasted Tears,” and it’s a soulful little ditty if you haven’t heard it already. (We’re also loving the acoustic Haley sound.)

As always, check back soon for more “Idol” news!
