We’re not sure if it is Melissa Gilbert or Maksim Chmerkovskiy who has become such a force to be reckoned with on “Dancing with the Stars” with the public vote this season — but regardless of who it is, she has managed to defy the judges on a number of occasions and end up being safe.
The newest example? Tuesday night’s results show. Despite being the lowest-scoring performer on Monday night thanks to both her individual routine and the group performance, she did not have to take part in the dance duel at all. Instead, the two performers who squared off were none other than Roshon Fagan — who is becoming so popular in the bottom two it could be renamed “the Roshon two” — and Jaleel White, who has also experienced jeopardy before.
The end results of seeing Melissa safe was that we lost someone who at times has looked like a favorite, and the former “Family Matters” star White is out despite scoring a 29 on an individual routine one week ago. He was clearly a favorite going into this season, but it is possible that his inconsistency on the dance floor — coupled with some nasty stories via the tabloids away from it — ended up hurting his voting block to the point where he only had a small block voting for him to stay week after week.
Are you surprised that all three judges decided to get rid of Jaleel over another inconsistent performer in Roshon, and why do you think it is that Melissa is continually bringing in so much support from the fans to keep her out of danger?
